Our theme is RADIO LESS ORDINARY. As a community station, Edge Radio 99.3FM is operated and funded, solely by people. We receive no backing from government or corporations and our volunteers are a diverse, talented bunch who truly make us radio less ordinary!

A Message from the President
On behalf of the Committee of Management, I would like to extend our deepest thanks to all our supporters, program hosts, volunteers, and donors for their invaluable contributions to keep our station alive. But most of all, we thank you, our listeners. It is YOU that tune in faithfully, YOU who share our passionate interests, and ultimately, YOU that inspire our presenters to haul themselves valiantly to the station in the wind, sleet and rain.
Edge Radio is a truly unique station. We are the ONLY youth-focused radio station in Tasmania, and we are proud to showcase Australian and specifically Tasmanian produced music to an audience of all ages.
Above you can see our ambitious fundraising goal. I recognise that $22,222 might seem a little bit fanciful, but it reflects the fact that we unfortunately had to skip last years fundraiser – and with it being Edge’s 22nd birthday – we couldn’t resist leaning into those 2’s!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us reach it. Your support doesn’t just secure our future for another year; it empowers us to educate and inspire a new wave of high school students, giving them vital, unique, hands-on EDGE experience in the radio industry.

Edge Radio Fundraiser Concert
Come join your favourite Edge Radio presenters and volunteers alongside a line up of incredible Tassie bands on Saturday 15th November 2025 at Altar Bar – to celebrate the station’s 22nd birthday and annual fundraiser!
Check out the post punk sounds of TEENS; the gorgeous experimental pop world of Q.E., breaking norms and gracing empowerment is the art pop world of Baltimöre Charlót and the Experience; and stick around for the psychedelic power trio that is Spooky Eyes.
Radiothon
Starting at 8pm on Friday 14 November, Edge Radio presenters and special guests will host a non-stop fundraising megashow for 22 solid hours. TWENTY TWO HOURS for 22 years of Edge! Radiothon will lead right up to the concert, getting you hype for a big night out in old Hobart town.
You can help by tuning in and donating! If you can’t make it to the concert, we’ll be highlighting all the bands listed above – show your appreciate and make sure you tell them you heard them on Edge Radio.
Some of your favourite presenters old and new will be telling you all about community radio, why it’s so vital to your community, what Edge does and more! You’ll be asked to think about what Hobart would look like without Edge Radio…
So get your popcorn ready. Stream online, in the car, on the job site, at your late night shift – wherever you are – and celebrate radio less ordinary! Oh and their might be some cheeky door prizes.

Edge Radio Music Trivia – ENDED
In October, we took over Altar Bar’s trivia night! You raised around $1700 for your local Tassie music station! Thank you! A huge thanks to everyone from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia conference who came along to support Edge.
